Entrepreneur: Rebel Black

As a human agronomist for The Rural Woman network, Rebel is passionate about creating an economy of healthy entrepreneurship and community vitality by connecting rural women and helping them to realise their full ability and potential.

Based in Lightning Ridge, Rebel believes that one of the greatest barriers in country life is the isolation. Named as one of the Top 10 Young and Influential people in Australia in 2011, Rebel has qualifications in Business (Governance), Communication, Workplace Training and Assessment, Community Development and Nutrition and Food Coaching. She is President of the Australian Opal Centre, is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and is a past member of the NSW Rural Women’s State Advisory Committee.

Through The Rural Woman, she can help provide online learning, networking and transformational spaces and experience and the chance to explore opportunities through online educational hubs, bespoke coaching, consulting programs and unique events.

The benefits include a healthy lifestyle, entrepreneurship, personal development and leadership. Members in every state and territory can tap into friendship, experience, knowledge and training sourced from like-minded women across Australia.

Since launching in 2015, The Rural Woman has also been named as one of the Google Regional Online Heroes, and recipient of the Lexus and Collective Hub Start Up and National Small Business Awards.
