International tourism booming


Overseas tourists are flocking to rural and regional NSW in greater numbers than ever before, according to the latest International Visitor Survey. The survey shows that rural and regional NSW has achieved its highest number of overseas visitors on record, with 852,500 international visitors staying
14.7 million nights and spending $1.05 billion during 2017. Visitor numbers grew by 11 per cent and their dollar spend grew by 19 per cent, with NSW
leading both Qld and Victoria in the visitation stakes.
