New health service for Cobar

The Development Application (DA) for a new Cobar Health Service has been approved, with early construction activities expected to begin by October. The redevelopment project includes in-patient services, emergency services, community health services, staff accommodation and an additional ten residential
aged care rooms and light refurbishment of the Lilliane Brady Village. There will also be inclusion of flexible acute/subacute beds for respite and
palliative care.

The redevelopment project is part of a $300 million program of works to upgrade existing or build new multi-purpose service facilities
at a number of rural and remote communities throughout NSW.

The project is expected to be completed in early 2020.
