O2N EXPORT HUB WELCOME ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE REGION

23 August 2019

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Orana Chairman, John
Walkom has welcomed the O2N Export Hub Advisory Committee to the region for the
first time this week.

Mr Walkom said, “RDA Orana are thankful 15 industry experts
from across the State are involved in this fantastic project,”

“It is great to have an advisory committee made up from a
cross-section of the resources sector including private sector and government,”
Mr Walkom said.

“The O2N Export Hub was established midyear 2019, with a
focus on the support and development of SME’s in the Mining Equipment,
Technology & Services industries in the Central West and Orana regions
incorporating the major mining regions of Cobar, Dubbo, Mudgee, Orange, Peak
Hill and Condobolin,

“The Hub aims to identify commercial opportunities,
facilitate an increase in investment and foster export openings for businesses
in the region,

“With approximately 33 mines either operating or under
development in the two regions

and the mining sector already having the largest
industry output, RDA Orana identified a

tremendous opportunity to support the sector through
our industry research and gain real

results for the
region,”

Plans for the next 6 months of the Export Hub include
connecting local businesses to existing services both domestically and
internationally, supporting access to programs, encouraging knowledge exchange
with established clusters in mining automation, and advanced mining
technologies, and hosting opportunity seminars for businesses in the region,”
Mr Walkom said.
