PROGRAM FOSTERS COBAR CAFE CULTURE

RDA Orana Director for Regional Development Megan Dixon has welcomed the news that Cobar Shire Council has joined the NSW Government’s Easy to do Business program.

Announced today by the Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries, the pairing will allow Cobar business people to set up a café, restaurant or small bar in less than 90 days, with the program cutting a lot of the red tape that previously hindered the process.

“This really paves the way for the Cobar hospitality industry,” Mrs Dixon said.

“It will allow for greater freedom to establish an eatery and promote the local restaurant scene to locals and visitors alike.”

“It will also boost the economy and create more jobs which presents a fantastic prospect for the community.”

Cobar Mayor Lilliane Brady was supportive of the partnership.

“We believe by partnering with the Service NSW Easy to Do Business Program, we will provide new and innovative ways for our residents, small business owners and developers to achieve their goals,” she said.
