TIME TO REGISTER FOR INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

18 September 2019

Businesses with an interest in industry development are encouraged to register for a series of free workshops across the Orana and Central West regions.

The workshops will be hosted by Regional Development Australia ((RDA) Orana, with a focus on the METS (Mining, Equipment, Technology and Services) and resources sector.

RDA Orana Director of Regional Development Megan Dixon said the workshops will be held in Cobar, Mudgee, Dubbo, Parkes and Orange during October.

“This is a free industry consultation for businesses being held as part of the Orana and Central West O2N Export Hub Project development,” Mrs Dixon said.

Describing it as an exciting initiative which will support industry development, Mrs Dixon said the aim is to support the development of METS and resources for businesses across the region.

“This in turn will improve sustainability, increase investment, connect businesses and expand the potential for collaboration.”

The workshops will be held in Cobar on October 2, Mudgee on October 15, Dubbo on October 16, Parkes on October 17 and Orange on October 18.

“We are seeking input to better understand the local METS (Mining, Equipment, Technology and Services) industry and what support is needed for growth,” Mrs Dixon said.

The hub consultation will include one on one mentoring, connecting local businesses with government export services, matching investment with innovations, business planning for export readiness and advice on product development.

Each workshop runs from 6.30am to 10am and includes breakfast and networking. Register for your local event HERE
