The power of negotiation is a necessary element of business, so an upcoming masterclass in Dubbo will work towards gaining this important skill.

Hosted by Charles Sturt University, presenter Kevin Ryan will reveal the ‘Secrets of the Great Negotiators’ to participants to empower them with this knowledge.

RDA Orana Director of Regional Development Megan Dixon said the 1.5 hour class would be valuable for businesses in the Orana region.

“The masterclass will explore how to be prepared to negotiate, including tips and tricks for every stage of the negotiation process,” Mrs Dixon said.

With 30 years’ experience as a professional speaker, trainer and workshop facilitator, Mr Ryan will show participants how to be the best prepared in order to negotiate.

He will also explain how to achieve a win-win in all types of transactions and how to handle manipulative negotiators.

“Mr Ryan is a very well-regarded speaker who has also released 10 books relevant to this topic. The workshop will also be offered free to the public,” Mrs Dixon said.

CSU Associate Dean (Research) in the School of Management and Marketing Professor Mark Morrison said the focus will be on achieving positive outcomes for businesses.

“Kevin will draw on the latest research on the art and science of mutually-beneficial negotiation,” he said.

“Kevin combines his 20 years of public speaking experience with 30 years in management, which gives him impressive credibility on his topic. He incorporates leading-edge thinking with practical strategies in lively, engaging seminars and workshops.”
